It's common knowledge that being a sneaker collector is a very frustrating experience. Countless raffles, sign-ups and tries online can drive any individual crazy with one L after the other.

But then, times have changed. It may be a sudden shift in interest, but now could be the best era to be a sneaker collector and here are 5 reasons why...

#1. Variety

It used to be just Jordans and Dunks. Now, all the brands are getting their shine. From adidas, to New Balance, to Asics, to Vans. Hell, even HOKA is hogging the spotlight with some collabs of their own. With that much variety, it's easier to find what you really want - something reflective of your persona.

#2. More Stocks

Nowadays, sneaker brands are churning out more quantities of supposed to be exclusive products.

For sure, it's still not a walk in the park to get certain pairs, but if you want a shoe, chances are you will stumble upon them at a price that you can live with. It's either companies are making more, or many people have moved on, leaving us diehards with more options.

#3. The Releases Don't Stop

Because all these brands are vying for our attention, they are exerting more effort into releasing the next big thing. That means more reissues, more models, more silhouettes so it's easier to move on from pairs you missed out on.

#4. Resellers are Lowering Their Prices

With all the hoarding that has been going on in the past few years, resellers are starting to become more flexible with their pricing. A little elbow grease and negotiating skills online may land you the stealing deal of the month.

#5. Sneaker Comebacks are Real

Missed out on a classic silhouette or colorway? Time flies by so fast that companies will release something similar to what you want or a reissue of a said shoe. Just be patient and save your money for the next big release, and you're good.

To sum it all up, if you've been enduring bouts with sneaker heartache for years, you should give it a second chance. Who knows? it may be sweeter this time around.
