Never stop chasing.

Sometimes pairings can be so unexpected that they flourish without a doubt. That's the usual reaction to ‘The Beige Movement’. A far from usual brand that draws a connection between dirt bike culture and streetwear culture. Station magazine had the pleasure of talking with Seth, owner of ‘The Beige Movement’ about what influences him to draw the connection between the cultures of streetwear and dirtbikes. Pertaining to the naming of the brand, Seth jokingly explained, “My favorite colors are muted and neutral colors. I couldn't name it “off-white'' because that was already taken.” So we asked Seth, how did he eventually land on a name, in which he replied, “One day I was in the car with a couple of my homies. We started naming names and one of my homeboys yelled out “On Beige” and at first I laughed, but beige just stuck with me for whatever reason. So I ran with it, when you think of something and it sticks, you just get that feeling of, yeah that's it.” But where does the connection of streetwear and dirt bikes come from you may ask? Seth has been into riding dirt bikes since a kid. He explained that one day he finally convinced his parents to buy him a small dirt bike. “I rode that bike until it broke!” In his explanation of the brand's origin, he says,

“Back in college (2017) in my dorm room is where it all started. At first the brand didn't feel like me, and I  felt like I was chasing something that wasn't really there.

I went back to the drawing board, and put myself into my brand. My style comes from dirt bike culture, and dirt bike apparel. Helmets, gloves, googles, dirt bikes are just my passion. It took me a while to distinguish the connection, but adding the element of dirtbikes is something that is true to me. When asked how he feels about everything coming together full circle, he simply states,

“Never stop chasing.”
